Whether you are embarking on a serious study of ceramics, or just looking to unwind and have fun with clay, this class is for you! Join us for this class as we introduce fundamental techniques, design, and vocabulary used to create various basic forms on the potter’s wheel. We will focus on building foundational skills like wedging and centering to maximize your success; then we’ll explore simple forms such as mugs, cylinders and bowls as well as basic finishing techniques. Students with a bit of experience are welcome to join this class and use this time to further develop skills, work with larger pieces of clay and more complex forms. Whatever your goals are, come join the fun! Class cost - $225 Clay bundles cost $40 and are availble for purchase in advance or at the time of the first class. For first time students, we offer a tools kit that costs $18 and includes basic clay tools and a sponge. To purchase a clay bundle or tools kit in advance, please call or email us! Places are limited, your spot is confirmed upon payment. Thursdays, 7pm–9pm
Clay space reserves the right to cancel any workshop or class for good cause, including but not limited to: lack of sign-ups, illness of instructor, extreme weather conditions, etc. If a class or workshop is cancelled, we will refund payment.
